Tank Wall Inspection
The TERAX - Tank Scanner provides a nonintrusive method for ultrasonic thickness testing. This device has rubber tracks and a hovering magnet that leave the inspection surface virtually unmarked. Boasting a range of up to 30 m (100 ft), the TERAX provides precise steering control for nondestructive B and C-scans. In addition, you can easily lift your transducer remotely from the surface while travelling between inspection locations, preserving your probe from unnecessary travel on rough surfaces. This innovative crawler enables effortless probe movement along ferrous tank surfaces, guaranteeing thorough and dependable inspections.
Features

Hovering Magnet
This feature ensures that the magnet stays slightly above the surface, securing it without touching and potentially causing damage. The rubber tracks also help protect your assets as the TERAX moves smoothly across the surface.

Raster Arm Corrosion Actuated Probe Lift
Remotely raise and lower your probe from the inspection surface. The automated probe lifting mechanism can be built to suit various industry-standard 0° transducers. Lifting the probe from the uneven inspection surface will extend its lifespan as the scanner moves.

Rubber Tracks
These tracks are designed for excellent traction and stability, specifically engineered to navigate uneven surfaces and minor obstacles along your path.

Handheld Controller
Control the TERAX remotely using the handheld controller. Utilize pressure-sensitive joysticks to drive and steer the crawler for precise speed control. The colour touch screen provides haptic feedback and allows programming different crawler functions.

Low Profile
This system is designed to navigate tight spaces and restricted areas, requiring minimal vertical clearance

Handles
The scanner's handles provide a practical grip for easy maneuvering and transportation. Additionally, they are removable to help decrease the scanner's horizontal footprint when necessary.

Cable Management
Cable management (sold separately) is essential for protecting and organizing cables and hoses, helping to prevent tangling and save time.

Recon - Camera System
With the optional RECON camera, you can drive, steer, and monitor your TERAX vehicle remotely in real time.

Battery Power
Order the TERAX battery kit to eliminate the need for heavy, cumbersome generators. The rechargeable batteries can power the TERAX system and accessories for hours.

Warranty
JIREH offers a three (3) year warranty on our hardware products, safeguarding against defects in materials and workmanship from the original purchase date. This warranty provides peace of mind and ensures the quality and craftsmanship of our products.
Component Identification

Base Crawler
The TERAX base crawler is equipped with large rubber tracks that allow for steering and driving, while the internal encoder provides real-time data on the machine's position.
Power Supply
The TERAX is designed to be compatible with a wide range of power sources, including those commonly used in North America, Europe, and the UK.
System Controller
The System Controller provides automated systems with power from the standard power supply or battery power (sold separately).
Auxiliary Cable
The Auxiliary Cable connects the Handheld Controller to the System Controller, carrying essential signals for their operation. It offers reliability and durability with identical and interchangeable connectors on both ends.
Handheld Controller
The Handheld Controller offers a compact and rugged solution to control all TERAX operations. Its colour touchscreen displays an intuitive and easy-to-use operating system, which includes haptic feedback for an enhanced user experience. Including joysticks ensures precise control over driving and steering, allowing for efficient and accurate operation.
J300 Encoder Cable
The J300 Encoder Cable is a waterproof cable that provides encoder information from the TERAX to the user's instrument. At 5 meters (16.4 feet) long, it offers a convenient and flexible solution for transmitting data.
Umbilical
The Umbilical is a robust, heavy-duty cable connecting the TERAX crawler to the system controller. Its primary function is to carry network and operational signals between the two components. Designed to withstand demanding conditions, the Umbilical is rugged and built to last.
