The MICROBE - 4 Probe Weld Scanner offers many features to enhance your scanning experience. With its integrated encoder, you can easily track the positional movement of the scanner. The ergonomic handle provides comfort and control, allowing you to maneuver the scanner easily. The brake maintains the scanner position locking the magnetic wheels when needed. Eight stacked magnetic wheels allow for better adherence to surfaces and ensure smooth movement across different ferrous materials.

With the ability to accommodate up to four probes simultaneously, you can significantly increase your scanning productivity.

Built-in Positional Encoding

The MICROBE features an integrated positional encoder within its body. The encoder output is fully compatible with all standard instruments, allowing seamless integration and compatibility for various applications. This ensures that the MICROBE can be easily integrated into existing systems without compatibility issues.

Magnetic Wheels

The MICROBE's magnetic wheels are coated with a urethane layer, minimizing the impact of foreign debris that could obstruct the scanner's smooth rolling. These magnetic wheels are also designed to be stackable, allowing for increased magnetic attraction when necessary.

Handle

The ergonomic injection-molded handle enhances the MICROBE experience. Enjoy a sturdy grip and unbeatable comfort during inspections.

Carabiner Attachment Point

To ensure the safe and efficient handling of the scanner, you can utilize the carabiner attachment point. This allows users to secure the scanner and prevent drops or pull the scanner forward when required. It is also a great feature during rope access applications.

TOFD and PAUT Inspection

The MICROBE kit includes time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) and phased array probe-holding arms for the slip joint probe holder. When configuring your order,  choose the pivot buttons required for your specific wedge. You can order additional probe holder pivot buttons to ensure your MICROBE is ready for any ultrasonic testing method.

Slip Joint Probe Holder

These low-profile probe holders are designed to accommodate most phased array and TOFD probes and ensure optimal alignment and positioning for accurate inspections. Choose your preferred pivot button style to carry the probe/wedge with these extremely adjustable probe holders.

Modular Capabilities

Transform the MICROBE into a non-ferrous ROTIX chain scanner! Converting your MICROBE into a ROTIX will expand your inspection capabilities. Various parts (sold separately) can be added to combine systems and confidently inspect any application. Our team can provide comprehensive information about the MICROBE and ROTIX interchangeable capabilities.

Component Idetification

MICROBE Cart

This cart has a built-in positional encoder for accurate scanning. The ergonomic handle ensures a comfortable grip, and the brake keeps the system securely in place. An onboard cable clip is included to help manage cables efficiently.

Cable Clips

Cable Clips provide a secure and organized way to manage cables and hoses. They easily mount onto any frame bar's dovetail groove, allowing for a firm and reliable attachment and preventing cables from getting tangled or becoming a hindrance during operations.

Frame Bars

The MICROBE scanner includes frame bars measuring 20 cm (7.9 in) and 35 cm (13.8 in), which serve as a secure mounting point between the cart and the probe holder or other accessories.

Magnetic Wheels

The magnetic wheels on this scanner cart ensure constant contact with the inspection surface. Four extra magnetic wheels are included to double the effectiveness for even stronger magnetic attraction.

PAUT Slip Joint Probe Holders

A pair of phased array slip joint probe holders feature a latch mechanism that enables the probe to be easily lifted to a standby position. These holders are highly adaptable and adjustable, allowing them to accommodate any standard probe and wedge combination.

Large probe capabilities

The kit includes longer probe holder arms for mounting larger probes to the slip joint probe holders. These longer arms provide the necessary extension to accommodate the size of larger phased array probes and wedges.

J100 Encoder Cable

The rugged and waterproof J100 encoder cable will be customized to your chosen instrument, allowing you to output positional data.

Probe Holder Spare Parts Kit

The Probe Holder Spare Parts Kit includes replacement screws and knobs for slip joint probe holders.
