The STIX - 4 Probe Long Seam Scanner is an innovative solution for longitudinal weld tracking. This four probe magnetic scanner, built around a versatile pivoting frame bar, allows manual axial scanning down to 15.2 cm (6 in).

Features
Axial Scanning
A dual pivot frame bar accommodates two probe longitudinal scans. Perform manual scans on pipes as small as 15.24 cm (6 in).
Circumferential Scanning
Conversion between circumferential and longitudinal capabilities is quick and straightforward. Scan circumferentially on pipes and tubes as small as 25.4 cm (10 in). Scan circumferentially as small as 10.2 cm (4 in) using slip-joint probe holders (sold separately).
Ease of use
Comfortable handles provide excellent scanner control as well as mounting points for accessories.
Spring-Loaded Encoder
The spring-loaded encoder maintains constant surface contact to ensure accurate scanner positioning.

Component Identification
Long Seam Frame
The dual pivot frame bar accommodates longitudinal scanning applications. The synchronized dual pivot frame bar ensures precise scanner setup while complete control is provided with convenient handles.
Phased Array Probe Holders
Countless setup variations and adjustment options are the hallmarks of the vertical probe holder.
Handles
Ergonomic handles provide comfortable scanner control while also providing mounting points for accessories.
Brakes
Brakes are provided to lock the scanner in the required position.
Wheels
The magnetic wheels are coated with urethane to reduce the effects of foreign debris obstructing the scanner motion. The system includes two sets of 4 magnetic wheels to provide optimal magnetic attraction during scanning operations.
TOFD Probe Holders
Fine-tune probe and wedge setup with these probe holders also offer transverse scanning.
