Magnetic Crawler for Pipe, Elbow and Weld Inspection

The TRIPOD - Base Crawler is a remotely operated magnetic crawler for weld and corrosion inspection on ferrous pipes, elbows, vessels and tanks. Its three-wheel drive system supports longitudinal and circumferential travel on small-diameter pipes while maintaining stable probe positioning across curved surfaces.

The TRIPOD can carry probe holder frames for weld inspection, a motorized raster arm for corrosion mapping, or an actuated probe lift for zero-degree inspection. It can also travel over standard weld caps and lap joints, allowing multiple inspection applications to be completed with one crawler.

Add weld scanning capability to the automated NAVIC and SKOOT scanners. The configurable Vertical Probe Holder Frame - 4 probe uses four vertical probe holders (2 phased array and 2 TOFD) and is available in various frame bar lengths to perform intricate weld scanning on ferrous surfaces.

The Battery Powered Optical Guide provides a red colour point of reference useful for guiding scanners along a given path (i.e. a weld). The angle of projection may be adjusted to account for various scan surfaces and sizes. An included perpendicular dovetail mount ensures the battery powered optical guide is compatible with many manual and motorized scanners.

Designed for demanding UT irrigation applications

The Powered Couplant Pump is a couplant delivery unit designed to supply a steady, adjustable flow of couplant from an external reservoir to the scanning surface during ultrasonic testing. Built for higher-demand scanner irrigation setups, it provides increased flow capacity and improved handling of higher-viscosity couplants, supporting consistent delivery for single or multi-probe configurations.

Designed for use with CMG009 irrigation kits. The CMG009 kit includes the hoses, fittings, tubing, and quick-connect components required to route couplant to the probe or probes carried by the scanner. (Sold separately)

The Powered Couplant Pump/Umbilical Case protects the Powered Couplant Pump during transport and storage, with additional space for umbilicals, cables, hoses, and tubing.

No need for cumbersome, heavy generators any longer. The Battery Kit provides two rechargeable batteries for use with the MOTIX, SKOOT, TERAX, TRIPOD or NAVIC system. The batteries fit into the system controller and will operate an automated crawler and attached components for hours at a time on a single charge*.

The included charger may be configured for various plug styles.
