Measure surface variations with precision and ease. The PIT GAGE is an essential tool for manual pit inspection. Each kit includes two or four non-magnetic extension arms. Choose either a Starrett or Mitutoyo digital indicator, and add optional magnetic arms (sold separately) to mount the gage to a ferrous surface—even upside down.

Component Identification
Digital Indicator
Easy-to-read Starrett and Mitutoyo digital indicators are available. The Starrett model features a rotating face, IP67 protection, and a 1-inch range, whereas the Mitutoyo has a ½-inch range, an IP42 rating and a compact size.
Centre Base
The standard mounting apparatus for the digital indicator.
Indicator Tip
The precise measurement point of the tool. A spare indicator tip is included.
Extension Arms
Extend the length of the PIT GAGE with additional non-magnetic extension arms.
Blind Side Base
Use the blind side base to take one-sided pit depth measurements in limited access applications (flanges, elbows, large weld caps, etc.).
Magnetic Arms
Use with magnetic arms (sold separately) to free your hands and prevent drops. The Starrett’s rotating indicator makes readings easy, even when the Pit Gage is mounted upside down.
