A modular, band-mounted crawler for multi-probe PAUT and TOFD weld inspection.

The SERKO - Weld Scanner is a motorized, band-mounted scanning platform designed for circumferential inspection of ferrous and non-ferrous pipes. Its adjustable design lets it travel around a range of pipe diameters while providing a stable, repeatable inspection path. With compatible SERKO probe holder frames, the system supports configurations of up to 10 probes for phased array (PAUT) and TOFD applications.

FEATURES

Quick Band Clamping

Large clamp handles make it easy to secure and release the SERKO from the pipe band for fast setup and repositioning.

Guide Band Compatibility

SERKO operates on customer-supplied pipeline guide bands, so it integrates with bands already used for mechanized welding applications. Adjustable band engagement accommodates widths from 80 to 127 mm (3.15 to 5 in.), providing flexibility across a range of existing band systems.

Wide Range of Diameters

SERKO’s adjustable crawler geometry accommodates guide bands from 10 in. OD through flat. Clearly marked diameter settings provide a convenient reference during setup, making it easy to configure the crawler for different pipe sizes.

Phased Array & TOFD Probe Holders

SERKO uses dedicated phased array and TOFD probe holders with multiple adjustment points for positioning the probe and wedge. Quick-locking controls simplify setup and repositioning, while dedicated PA and TOFD configurations support multi-technique inspections.

Cable Management Conduit

A flexible conduit organizes and protects probe cables, hoses, and other service lines as the SERKO travels around the pipe. The conduit keeps lines bundled and controlled throughout the scan, helping prevent tangles and interference with scanner movement.

Couplant Distribution Manifold

Mounted directly on the probe holder frame, the irrigation manifold distributes couplant to each probe. Its compact layout keeps couplant lines organized and close to the inspection assembly, helping simplify hose routing around the scanner.

Spring-Loaded Encoder

Maintains positive contact with the inspection surface to provide consistent feedback of scan position around the pipe.

Probe Holder Frame

USD$ 6,826.40

The SERKO Probe Holder Frame is the main probe mounting assembly for the SERKO scanner. Available with PAUT or TOFD probe holders, it accommodates two probes and can be expanded with additional frames to support up to 10 probes.

The frame's adjustable mounting connection lets you raise or lower it to suit the scanning surface or band height, while adjustable probe holders provide flexibility in probe and wedge positioning. Quick-lock controls and vertical sliding mechanisms simplify setup and repositioning.

A spring-loaded trailing encoder maintains consistent contact with the inspection surface for accurate scan-position feedback. A frame-mounted couplant distribution manifold supplies the individual probes while keeping hoses organized and close to the inspection assembly.
