The ROTIX - 3-Axis Nozzle Scanner facilitates semi-automated inspection of nozzle welds, with available encoding of the probe skew angle. Featuring a specialized long stroke probe holder, the nozzle scanner employs a chain system for stable inspection on both ferrous and non-ferrous surfaces. The scanner is also capable of limited clearance inspection, requiring just 12.7 cm (5.0 in) between the vessel and flange.

Slider Probe Positioning System

Make quick adjustment to the probe distance from the weld without requiring scanner removal. The included encoder ensures precise measurement along the frame bar.

ROTIX Low Profile Link

In addition to containing the scanner's positional encoder, the low profile link transmits all three encoder signals to the user's instrument. Utilize the low profile link's dovetail grooves to organize cables and tubes.

Brake

 

Prevent scanner movement by applying the brake.

 

Encoded Skew Vertical Probe Holder

An inventive probe holder offering 12.2 cm (4.8 in) of vertical travel as well as an encoded skew measurement. As the probe travels around a weld, constant probe contact with the scan surface is maintained thanks to this unique vertical probe holder. Which also features an encoded skew which measures the degrees in which the probe has been rotated horizontally.

Wheels

Urethane wheels offer smooth scanner motion while traveling around a scan object.

Cable Management

Route cables, tubes and hoses through the provided cable clips which connect to various points on the scanner, probe holder and frame bar. Cable management is also provided to the user's instrument and irrigation solution.

Catch Link

The attachment link for the buckle which completes the chain system.

Short Link with Dovetail

The addition of the dovetail allows for the mounting of accessories such as the cable management.

Short Link

Connect the required amount of short links to form the chain length required for various pipe and tube diameters.

ROTIX Low Profile Link

The low profile link contains the system's positional encoder as well as cable management mounts, the brake, connection point for the frame bar and inputs for additional encoder signals. The encoder output is compatible with most industry-standard instruments.

Long Link

Roughly equivalent to 3 short links, the long link is useful during large diameter scans.

Buckle

The buckle fastens to the catch link and allows control of chain tension.

Skew Encoder

Probe skew angle is recorded using the skew encoder.

Long Stroke Probe Holder

The long stroke vertical probe holder offers immense travel over various scan surfaces. 

Slider PPS

Position the probe holder closer or farther from the weld with ease.

Slider PPS Encoder

Offset position is recorded using the slider PPS encoder.
